“When I was growing up, the top of the state capitol was the highest point in downtown Nashville. On August 15, 1922, two young ladies and their photographer climbed up to the top and the result is this shot (upper left). The photographer was not able to step back very far.
No, I cannot give an explanation for their adventure, nor do I know what they had been smoking. Interesting picture though.”
